Elizabeth Baker

American author of children's novels. Full name Elizabeth Gilette Baker. Born in 1923. She wrote a number of childrens/young adult novels on a fairly wide range of themes including historical, holiday adventure, mysteries and a couple concerning more serious topics such as family tension and racism. She wrote the 'Tammy' series about a girl and her family having outdoor adventures, camping and the like. Just one of her books featured horses.
